Dr. Katherine Nolan Lu is a Board-Certified dermatologist who’s highly trained in medical and aesthetic dermatology as well as dermatologic surgery. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and helping them get the high-quality skin care solutions they deserve. Her devotion to the field of dermatology is nationally recognized through her many published works, editorials, and speaking engagements at national conferences like the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She also served as the keynote speaker on hair loss for the Lupus Foundation of America.
Dr. Nolan’s passion and dedication to serving those in need are at the core of her values and strengths. A diligent skin cancer advocate, she provides provide free screenings for underserved patients, and she brings the same compassion and kindness to patient care at Wilmington Dermatology Center.

Accolades, Certification, & Memberships
After graduating from Cornell University Summa Cum Laude and finishing her medical school training at Mount Sinai in New York City with distinction in research, Dr. Nolan completed her residency at the prestigious University of Miami dermatology program. During her residency, she was a co-investigator in multiple clinical studies on skin cancer and completed an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship for advanced techniques in surgical and aesthetic dermatology.
In the years that followed her residency, Dr. Nolan received advanced training in laser and aesthetic dermatology while working with the top cosmetic injectors in the country. She also served as the Director of Cosmetic Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
