What is Restylane® Eyelight Under Eye Filler?

Restylane® Eyelight is an innovative injectable dermal filler composed of hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance that exists in the body and helps the skin maintain its hydration and plumpness. Its crosslinked formula helps the gel filler last longer, something useful for minimizing treatment to the sensitive tear trough area. Adding volume to the under eye area enhances and returns a more youthful appearance, as we tend to lose volume there over time. Eyelight also contains lidocaine to minimize discomfort.

What is the History of Restylane® Eyelight?

Restylane® Eyelight contains BDDE, an ingredient that helps form a network of hyaluronic acid (HA), creating a longer-lasting gel filler. Eyelight is a newer product in the Restylane® line, having been released in 2021. Under eye fillers need to be fairly firm in order to avoid migration and flattening, which can undo the revitalizing effects. Eyelight uses NASHA® for this as it helps stabilize the HA, and the technology behind this has been trusted in medical settings for over two decades.

How Does Restylane Eyelight Filler Work?

We always begin each treatment with a complimentary consultation, where we’ll examine your undereye area and facial anatomy and learn about your aesthetic goals and medical history. Then, we’ll tailor a treatment plan just for you.

Before

We’ll cleanse and gently prepare the area.

During

We use a cannula to insert the filler to the desired areas, a process that can take from 15 minutes to half an hour.

After

You should notice your results immediately, and they’ll continue to settle in over the following days. We’ll provide you with aftercare instructions, and your results should last for nine months up to a year.

Am I a Candidate for Restylane® Eyelight Filler?

Restylane® Eyelight is a wonderful solution for men and women over the age of 21 who have signs of under eye hollowing in the tear trough area and want a subtly enhanced result. A non-surgical option, Eyelight is not suitable for all cases of hollows or under eye darkness, but our team is here to help determine your candidacy in consultation.

Please inform us prior to your Eyelight filler treatment if you’re allergic to any ingredients in Restylane® Eyelight, including lidocaine; have had poor reactions to other HA products; have an infection in the treatment area; are pregnant; plan to become pregnant; or are breastfeeding.

How Long Does Restylane® Eyelight Last?

Eyelight filler can last for up to 12 months.

When Will I See My Results?

You should notice your results settle over the days following your appointment.

Does it Hurt?

Restylane® Eyelight contains a concentration of lidocaine to minimize discomfort. If you are extremely sensitive, we can use a topical numbing cream as well.

How Much Does the Filler Cost?

Each case varies depending on the quantity used and individual needs. We will discuss your costs with you in consultation.
