What is the History of RADIESSE®?

How Does RADIESSE® Work?

All treatments at Wilmington Dermatology Center first begin with a consultation, where we assess which treatments will achieve the best results while maintaining the integrity of your skin.

Prior to Treatment

Before your treatment, our doctors will consult with you to learn about your medical history and answer any questions or concerns you have about the treatment process. Whether you’re seeking RADIESSE® for your face or hands, we’ll work with you to ensure that you understand the results and aftercare steps.

During Treatment

After carefully mapping out where the injection needs to go, we’ll apply a numbing cream and then gently administer the treatment. Most patients do not find this process painful, and you can expect lines and wrinkles to be smoothed as soon as you’re done! RADIESSE® is a minimally invasive treatment, and you can expect to be out the door in less than half an hour, depending on the areas treated.

After Treatment & Results

Following treatment, you’ll want to temporarily avoid strenuous activity and applying makeup to the injected areas, and apply an ice pack to sooth any injection-site swelling. One of the things patients love most about RADIESSE® is they see results instantaneously and can resume most daily activities – so you can get right back to your life when you’re done, looking and feeling fabulous.
