JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® Filler Treatment in Wilmington

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® injections plump your pout, enhance your cupid’s bow, and smooth fine lines for softer, fuller lips. As part of the JUVÉDERM VYCROSS® Collection, JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® uses a hyaluronic acid-based gel to restore lost volume, naturally elevating the look and feel of your lips.

This one-of-a-kind formula absorbs less water than traditional fillers, considerably reducing swelling and downtime. But that’s not all — JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® injections also include lidocaine anesthetic to make your treatment as comfortable and painless as possible!

What is the History of JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA?

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® was approved by the FDA in 2016 for the treatment of lips and perioral rhytids. While it’s one of the newer fillers to hit the United States, it was already approved in Europe in 2011. This approval brought to market a product unlike anything currently available in America. JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® is formulated with VYCROSS®, a proprietary filler technology from Allergan® that’s engineered to address specific concerns including lip fullness, lines around the mouth, and age-related volume loss.

How Do JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA Injections Work?

Prior to Treatment

During your consultation, our cosmetic experts will talk through your concerns and personalize your treatment plan. On the day of treatment, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream and cleanse the injection site with an alcohol swab.

During Treatment

Once the treatment area is prepped, we’ll use a sterilized needle to gently inject JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® filler into your lips. The entire procedure typically lasts 30-40 minutes.

After Treatment & Results

You’ll have smoother, more voluptuous lips immediately after one session, with results lasting up to one year! While there is very little downtime, we’ll provide a cooling agent for you to apply following the procedure, minimizing potential discomfort.

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® Frequently Asked Questions

How long does JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® last?

While results vary from patient to patient, JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® injections typically last around 12 months.

When will I see JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® results?

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® results are immediate, and you can expect full correction within seven days.

Is one brand or product better than another?

While there are several products that treat facial wrinkles, JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® is the only lip product proven to last long and maintain a smooth, natural correction.

Can I get JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® the day before a big event?

Although there is significantly less swelling with JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® than other fillers, we recommend not scheduling just before any major events, as potential bruising can last up to a week.

Does the JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® procedure hurt?

Thanks to the topical numbing cream and lidocaine-infused formula, patients describe JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® as a pinch with pressure. Some spots are more sensitive than others, but the procedure is highly tolerable.

How does JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® get rid of wrinkles?

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® restores hyaluronic acid your skin naturally loses, adding volume to the treated areas. With the VYCROSS® technology, results are smoother and longer lasting than standard fillers.

Does it really matter who does my JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA®?

Like many other dermal fillers, there are specialty injection techniques and skills required to maintain a natural, even look. It’s highly recommended that a well-trained medical provider — who has extensive experience with facial anatomy — performs the procedure to prevent complications and deliver the best possible results.

How much does JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® cost?

At Wilmington Dermatology Center, the cost of JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® lip injections is based on the number of syringes needed. This varies depending on the areas being treated and look you’re looking for, so our providers are happy to give you a price estimate during your free consultation.

Can I get JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® done the same day as other injectable procedures?

Yes! You can receive JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® filler the same day you receive other injectable treatments, such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, and VOLUMA® XC. However, we prefer providing VOLBELLA® injections after any laser procedures.

What happens if I need more correction, or I don't achieve the results I anticipated?

Wilmington Dermatology Center is a result-driven practice. If you are not completely satisfied with the outcome of your JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® injections, we offer a two-week follow-up visit so we can re-evaluate and adjust the treatment if necessary.
