If you or someone you know struggles with dry, itchy, inflamed skin, you may be eligible for one of many eczema (atopic dermatitis) research studies currently enrolling at Wilmington Dermatology Center.
These clinical research studies are evaluating investigational study medication for adults with moderate to severe eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis. Participation may offer access to new treatment options while helping advance dermatology research for future patients.
About the Eczema Research Studies
Eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause persistent itching, redness, dryness, and discomfort—often interfering with sleep, work, and quality of life. While many treatments exist, not all patients experience adequate relief.
This study is designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for adults whose eczema symptoms remain moderate to severe.
Who May Be Eligible?
You may qualify for this research study if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have been diagnosed with moderate to severe eczema (atopic dermatitis)
- Experience ongoing symptoms such as itching, redness, dryness, or inflamed skin
A screening visit with the research team will determine final eligibility.
Participant Benefits
Qualified participants may receive:
- Study medication at no cost
- Study-related medical exams and visits at no cost
- Compensation for time and participation
- No health insurance required
All study care is provided by an experienced dermatology research team in a professional, supportive clinical setting.
Why Participate in a Clinical Research Study?
By participating, you may gain access to emerging treatment options before they are widely available, while also contributing to medical research that may help improve eczema care for others in the future.
