How Does Restylane® Kysse Filler Work?

At Wilmington Dermatology Center, we begin all injectable filler treatments with a complimentary consultation, where we’ll examine your unique lips and discuss your aesthetic goals. From there, we’ll craft your custom treatment plan.

Prior to Treatment

We’ll apply a topical lidocaine numbing cream to the treatment areas. We’ll wait the appropriate time for it to take effect, about 10 to 15 minutes, before thoroughly cleansing and prepping the area.

During Treatment

We apply the filler via the numbed injection sites, and since Restylane® Kysse filler contains lidocaine as well, you should only feel a slight pinch and pressure at most. A typical visit takes 30 to 40 minutes. In some cases, our highly trained team can use a cannula, a blunt-tipped needle that minimizes the number of injections and potential for bruising.

After Treatment & Results

Results are visible immediately with full correction in a week. Results and can last anywhere from 9 to 12 months. With any injectable treatment, there’s some potential for swelling or bruising that should not last longer than a week.
