One of Our Favorite Summertime Treatments: Ultherapy
While other laser treatments are off-limits during the summer months with all our time in the sun, Ulthera, the noninvasive ultrasound treatment shines! Ulthera, the summer friendly treatment is the noninvasive way to tighten skin without surgery. Everybody wants to avoid downtime, and with Ulthera the no downtime treatment allows you to keep to your busy fun filled schedule. You can even enjoy the suns rays (with sunscreen of course) without worrying about ruining the benefits of this treatment.

While Ultherapy is a great treatment for the sagging neck, it doesn’t stop there! Ulthera is also used to treat around the eyes, chin, and décolleté or chest area to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

So why do we love Ultherapy at WDC?

Ultherapy fills an unmet need for those looking to non-surgically treat sagging skin, especially in hard-to-treat areas such as the neck, under the chin and above the brow.” Ultherapy works from the inside-out to lift and tighten non-invasively. Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin, delivering focused ultrasound energy at just the right depth below the skin–to the same foundational layer typically addressed in a surgical facelift. The skin’s response to this energy is to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen and elastin. This response is what tightens and lifts the skin. It’s a simple one-time treatment with results that can last from 3 to 5 years.

While you can expect some mild redness immediately after the procedure, it should disappear within a few hours. Some patients may have some mild swelling and soreness to the touch after the procedure, but these are also temporary and resolve on their own in a short period of time.

While some patients handle the procedure well with no anesthetic, we do offer an option for pronox (nitrous oxide)to minimize any discomfort or injectable Lidocaine to the areas being treated. Ultherapy is a non-invasive procedure, but there is a possibility of bruising if you choose to take advantage of Lidocaine.

Don’t forget to take advantage of our complimentary consults to learn more about Ulthera and determine if it’s the right procedure for you! We can map out a plan that best suits your needs, budget, and lifestyle!
