Collagen P.I.N.

Today, we’re going to discuss one of our unique procedures that we’ve mentioned before, the Collagen P.I.N.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with the technology, P.I.N. in Collagen P.I.N. stands for Percutaneous Induction Needling.  It is a method of introducing a controlled wound into the skin triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen & elastin.  Since we’ve added this procedure to our practice in November, we’ve been seeing some amazing results!

The Collagen P.I.N falls somewhere in the middle of a corrective laser, like Fraxel, and more of a maintenance laser, like Clear and Brilliant. If you aren’t crazy about lasers in general, the Collagen P.I.N is a great alternative if you’re looking to help tighten and lift skin, while minimizing common skin problems such as acne scars, fine lines, photo-aging, dull skin, poor texture, stretch marks and body scars.

One of our favorite things about the Collagen P.I.N. is that it doesn’t limit us to treatments strictly for the face or even skin type for that matter!  The P.I.N. can be used anywhere on the body on any type of skin.  We also love that we’ve finally found an effective treatment for stretch marks and have seen some amazing proof from our patients.

One of the biggest questions asked by our patients, is if there is downtime with the procedures?  While the Collagen P.I.N. is advertised as a no downtime procedure, we have found from experience that while it isn’t a week’s downtime like our Fraxel laser, you will leave experience 1-2 days of redness.  It is more of a comparison to a chemical peel.

Donna, one of our medical Aestheticians, says “I am so impressed with Collagen PIN! We are seeing improvements with pigment, fine lines and wrinkles. Also getting great results for stretch marks as well as acne scarring. A truly amazing treatment to add to our bag of tricks!

If you think the Collagen P.I.N. is a procedure you may be interested in, please don’t hesitate to contact us.  We offer free consultations for all of our patients and would be happy to sit down and go over exactly what it is you would like to improve.
