How Does CellFX®️️ Treatment Work?
Our customized services, including CellFX®, start with a consultation where we’ll thoroughly discuss how to prepare for a safe and comfortable CellFX® procedure. To give a head start, we’ve outlined what to expect before, during, and after treatment.
Prior to Treatment
Your provider will mark out treatment areas and deliver anesthesia to minimize potential discomfort. They’ll adjust the treatment tip and intensity level to match your individual needs.
During Treatment
Your doctor will place the treatment device on each lesion to deliver energy pulses. While it’s normal to experience mild twitching or muscle spasms, any discomfort should be very tolerable during this time. If there are ever any concerns, additional anesthesia may be administered if requested.
After Treatment & Results
Immediately after your CellFX® treatment, we’ll cover the treatment area with healing ointment and bandages. Although the healing process may vary based on your skin type and lesion size, most patients can return to work and normal daily activities immediately after the procedure. Larger or deeper lesions may take more time to heal, but most lesions dissipate within 30-60 days.
While long-term results depend on lesion type and treatment intensity, most lesions can permanently be cleared with one treatment. We may recommend a second session for larger, deeper lesions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the CellFX® procedure take?
As each lesion requires 10-15 seconds of pulsing, the entire session normally takes less than 15 minutes. Otherwise, procedure time depends on the number of lesions being treated.
How many visits are needed?
Most lesions require only one session to clear entirely, but follow-up sessions may be recommended to treat larger, deeper lesions.
When will I see results?
Although results may vary depending on lesion size, location, and type, most typically clear within 30-60 days of treatment. It can take between 60-90 days for the new skin layer to appear normal.
