Whether you’re making room for new art or looking to erase a previous tattoo decision, you’ve come to the right place!
Our Pico laser technology is the gold standard in tattoo removal, and the most advanced option in Wilmington! We use the discovery Pico, which safely and effectively removes pigmentation in your skin, regardless of skin type or tattoo color. Rosalyn George, M.D., and her team are ready to help!
How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
Our discovery Pico laser technology simultaneously targets both large and small tattoo particles, breaking them into tiny molecules that are naturally removed by your body’s immune system.
This is a safe tattoo removal solution. The laser targets only the ink, so it won’t harm the surrounding skin, and because the discovery Pico doesn’t use heat, it’s equally safe for lighter or darker skin tones. It’s also a truly effective solution: the discovery Pico is versatile yet precise, able to break up any ink color and particle size, on any skin type, for comprehensive color clearance and fast results.
Prior to Treatment
Before treatment begins, we’ll clean and prep the treatment areas. We also offer topical numbing cream to make you more comfortable during the procedure.
During Treatment
We offer topical numbing cream to make you more comfortable during the procedure. You will then hear the laser loudly fire, audible popping sounds, and feel heat over the general area of the skin. The treated area will feel as if it were sunburned. Some may blister and lesions will look darker before the skin heals and the lesion improves. Your provider will give you guidelines for before and after care.
After Treatment & Results
All Tattoo removal treatments typically consist of a series of anywhere from 2-10 sessions, scheduled 6-8 weeks apart, until the desired removal outcome is met. The number of treatments will depend on the kind of ink and color used, as well as the amount of coverage. Your provider can determine how long to wait between appointments based on progress made and your skin type.
